- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2024This works great. I can charge my phone or other device - I can charge my computer through it. It has 2 UCB-A ports and an HDMI and a Display port. Ethernet port and audio out 3.5mm - all seem to work great. I wish it had a USB-C port so I could plug in my external hard drive - only USB-C port on it is for charging- I should have looked closer. Not an issue with the device just my error. I would buy it again for my MacBook Pro- takes 1 port for all of my devices and expands my capabilities.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2024Not sure why but it just stopped working. I have a anker charger plugged into it so that shouldn’t be an issue. Would only output one display randomly then nothing.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2024This could not pass sufficient power to my laptop, so I had to use the second usb c port to power the laptop (fortunately, I had two C ports).
There is no setup routine, so the device captures the sound ports without warning and leaves the laptop speakers disconnected. Fortunately, the laptop has software to manage the speakers (after tracking the cause down).
It has two USB 3.2 ports, but in reality only one and the other defaults to USB 2.0.
Thus far, the ethernet port works and I have no need of video ports so cannot address them.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2021I purchased this dock for 2017 MacBook Pro 15. It generally worked but here is what I observed:
Pros:
- reasonable set of ports provided
- support for 2 4k @60Hz via DP and HDMI (one of each), which is reasonable for these days
- gig ethernet
- no unreasonable amount of obsolete USB-A ports
- power passt hru
Cons:
- the hard-attached cord to your computer is too short and somewhat "hard"
- the "star" design. Each side has some cables coming out. It makes it hart do hid it behind you screen or close to some wall.
- power pass-thru somehow registered as only 45W (compared to 60W advertised) with my 61W Apple brick. This may be a design limitation and probably my oversight.
- unnecessary audio port. It's surprisingly annoying on Macs because you cannot simply disable it and it gets in the way as selected Audio Out quite often.
Ultimately I ended up returning the dock and went with CalDigit Dock Mini DisplayPort version, which has no support for power but fits better my use case
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2024I've been searching for a hub that would support my MacBook Pro, a wide-screen monitor, and several peripherals, including a camera. I've gone through two or three other hubs and have invariably had my camera fail in the middle of a video conference at least once or twice a week. A couple of weeks in with this new hub, and not a single failure. So far, at least, it's highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2021Read the fine print with this thing. If you want it to output power through the dock’s built-in cable that you use to connect the dock to your laptop/tablet/etc., you need to have a 60 watt minimum charger/power supply feeding in to the dock. So you know the Thunderbolt 3 power supply that comes with your MacBook? It’s only 30w. So unlike basically every other USB-C dock, you can’t just use your laptop’s power supply, plug it into the dock and then plug the dock into that machine. You’ll likely need to buy a separate 60w charger just to power this dock.
Where does that extra power go? Beats me, because you don’t get power from the USB-A ports. So you can’t charge *anything* other than the connected laptop via this dock. *The USB-A ports do not send power.* Also, every time your computer display goes to sleep, HDMI-connected monitors disconnect. So if you’re inactive for a little bit and your display turns off, you will need to physically unhook the dock and reconnect it for the external monitor to reactivate.
I tried to contact Belkin tech support. Chat support can’t help you, because they’ll let you know that they’re not trained to support the docks — you have to call. I tried calling for hours only to get disconnected and hung up on literally every time I tried to enter menu selections. I went back to chat support to try to get help even reaching the correct support people, and I finally got a workaround via that route and was able to reach a human. But ultimately the support person I talked to wasn’t able to do anything for me, because this dock is as bad as it seems.
You are truly better off getting one of those no-name $30 USB-C docks. Yes, you sacrifice Thunderbolt 3 speed, but I’ve had a much better experience with connected monitors, charging USB-A devices, and otherwise *doing the things you’d expect a dock to do* for about 1/5th of the price — and in a much more travel resilient body, as well. As soon as I submit this review, I’ll be ordering one of those.
UPDATE: As claimed, I ordered a $30 USB-C dock immediately after posting this review. I’m so much happier with the cheaper item. Save yourself the money and the trouble.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2022I use this with an M1 Macbook Air to connect a charger, 4K HDMI monitor, and USB keyboard and mouse when I am at home. Its been in more or less constant use for 14 months now and works great.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2021In general, quite happy with it. No glitches during use of it. Biggest complaint is rediculously short laptop cable. No extra cable to provide any type of strain relief. Connection to laptop always seems kinked unless docking station is perfectly in line with laptop port. Also be advised that cables come out all 4 sides of this docking station, so make sure you have adequate desk space.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimativ Top

I have had this for almost an year. It was great value for money for supporting 2(two) 4K monitors. I had searched a lot and there was nothing available at this price. To that extent this is good.
BUT ..2 issues
1) It’s a bit wonky and sometimes doesn’t recognise the signal & I don’t see anything in the monitor…so I have to reboot the windows machine. It’s happened sufficient number of times that it does bother me.
2) the rigid short cable that connect to the laptop invariable gets disturbed if the machine moves just even a bit and that has resulted in the usb-c port on the machine becoming loose ie again sometimes it just doesn’t connect and I have to fiddle with it which is not good for the port.
Otherwise, it seems to work well…I use it both for my Dell XPS and now mostly for my Mac Mini M1(it will stay on it from now on)

5.0 out of 5 stars Buena elección
Funciona perfecto para MacBook Pro M1
Había tenido problemas con otros docks con la conexión a internet, por tema de drivers, pero este a la primera sin complicaciones.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy if you are sensitive to electronic noise
I bought this device twice and both of them had a problem with high pitch electronic noise as soon as I plugged it in. Belkin seems to use cheap electric components for this one.
