      Let me preface this by saying I've always been neutral on the actual painting itself. I appreciate the style and it's importance to Japanese history - but the aesthetic itself isn't quite for me, and it's not something I'd ever seek to hang a real print of in my house.

      Which leads me to giving this 5 stars! It's a great display piece, with some subtle 3D elements that add spectacular depth. The frame is built last, and when the final step happens (putting the pins into place to secure the "painting" with the "frame") - it's a true "wow" moment. Pictures of the final piece I think look deceptively small - it's a GREAT set.

I could plug down seemingly endless circular color bricks while learning more than I ever imagined about the history and process of the original woodblock print.

      - The finished product is astounding, full stop.

      If you’re an adult who, like myself, hasn’t ventured into the brick world since childhood, trust that this is well worth the cost, and it is time well-spent.
